Alternatives Adult Programs serve patients over 18 years of age who are dealing with depression, anxiety, and other problems at work, home or daily functioning. An initial comprehensive assessment is performed upon admission that includes family, educational, social and physical components. Each patient participates in the development of his/her individual treatment plan focused on his/her needs.
The program provides intensive treatment in a setting that creates the least amount of disruption in the patient’s life, while allowing the patient to learn and practice coping skills in a “real world” environment.
A professional therapist facilitates psychotherapy group and individual sessions. Other specialty groups are available based upon the patient's identified needs. These groups include educational groups on improving lifestyle, communication, coping skills, and relaxation.
Speciality programming is available for anger management, bipolar disorder, and co-occuring substance abuse and mental health issues.
